Romy, a brave twelve-year-old boy, travels around the world on a quest for 24 sacred stones. The secret of Mu, a vanished civilisation and of which he is the only inheritor, will be revealed to him once all the stones are put together. Our young hero will be assisted and guided by the legendary whale Moby Dick, the guardian of the memory of Mu. Throughout these adventures, Romy is also accompanied by Satya, a Ceylonese girl of his age, and Zu, an annoying, but adorable eccentric bird. The supernatural powers of these fellow adventurers are extremely precious and helpful to Romy. Satya has telepathic powers allowing her to communicate with animals, whereas Zu has the ability to teleport himself – and whoever happens to be standing next to him – to anywhere he wants. However, Romy also relentlessly pursued by a fierce enemy called Captain Ahab, a cruel and deceiving villain. He is convinced that the mysterious heritage of Mu is a wonderful treasure and hence tries to get there first.
